Dr. Simmons will be performing Mineral ID classes on the third Thursday of each month. The fee of $50 includes all class materials, and the class runs about 1 1/2 hours. About Dr. Simmons:

The West Rocks, according to Beth’s most recent publication, an entry in a huge coffee table book entitled “Unplugged Voices.” If you live in the West, you must love rocks,” or its corollary, “If you love rocks, you must live in the West.” So you need to know what type of rocks you are looking at and how they got into the West (and how they got to Rustic Relics!). Beth is a graduate geologist and historian who moved to Colorado in 1994 so she could be with her beloved rocks. Having taught for over 20 years at Metropolitan State University of Denver and at Community College of Denver and Front Range Community College, she perfected ways to teach easy ways to recognize rock samples and tell where they came from. Come learn with the best at Rustic Relics!
